Kaya Oğuz received his B.Sc. degree in Software Engineering in 2007 from Izmir University of Economics (IUE), his M.Sc. degree in Computer Games Technology in 2009 from University of Abertay Dundee with distinction, and his Ph.D. in Information Technologies in 2016, from Ege University, International Computer Institute (ICI). He has worked as a teaching assistant between 2009-2011 at IUE, and has been a lecturer at ICI since then.
He is currently a senior member of the ComVIS (Computer Vision Group) at ICI, and a member of the SoCAT Lab at Psychiatry Department. His research interest covers game AI, machine learning, image processing, medical imaging and fMRI. You can find a complete list of his publications at his home page at ICI.

Besides academic research, he is an amateur guitar player, and recently started to invest time in digital drawing. He plays computer games as much as he studies them academically.
